Why don’t we just follow the directions?
I recall using a teaching tool to help my students understand the importance of following directions. The first instructions were “to read everything before doing anything on the list.”

I replied to the agnostic atheist by saying, “…that is our higher purpose. That is why we have been created…for HIS purposes.”
Remove the splinter from your eye
Even when we become discouraged and turn away from God, He opens His loving arms and welcomes us back.
